Day 1: Judges 11 – The Unnamed Daughter

Dear Single Woman,

Has the thought ever crossed your mind that its not all about you? Lets face it, when has things never been about you? I mean as a single person in this beautiful season of life, you probably have things all going for you, cook whenever you want, eat whenever you want to, spend money on whatever you want, do things whenever you want to, travel where ever you want to travel, keep up with the latest trend and the list of things you can accomplish as a single person goes on and on.

However, ever feel as though everything you do is simply squeezing out every drop of breath and goodness out of you, just trying to keep up with the expectations of this world?  In a world where the focus it very much on self, how about we refocus the lens and zoom in on the real reason of our very existence, yes It all starts with God.

Yeap, lets go ahead and insert a note to self right here, its definitely not all about you because everything, absolutely everything, begins with God.

Colossians 1:16b “All things were created through Him and for Him” (The Woman’s Study Bible NKJV)

In this season of singleness, how blessed are you through the abundance of time and maybe even finance. How do you remind yourself, as you enjoy everything that you have been blessed with right now, that it begins with God. How do you keep the focus on God in this high speed and demanding world? What do you do, when everything continually screams for your attention? I have to say that like any other relationship or friendship, time, the one thing that you as a single woman have been so abundantly blessed with, time needs to be invested into this.

As a single woman you need to intentionally begin to spend time reading and listening to God’s word. Intentionally set aside time to do exactly that. It was only when I realized this, did I find that as I began to intentionally focus and appreciate God’s goodness and beauty around me, I began to slowly turn the focus away from myself and towards God.

So my dear single woman, as it says in Jeremiah 17: 7-8 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the LORD. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.” (The Woman’s Study Bible NKJV). Turn your focus to God, remain peaceful in Him and you will see his continuous favor upon your life through this season.

Be Blessed.

Day 2 topic ” Never view yourself as an Accident or Unwanted.”
